Unwind Privacy Policy

Unwind is desktop software that runs locally on your Windows PC. It does not collect, store, or transmit personally identifiable information (PII) — such as your name, email address, or account identifiers — for analytics, advertising, or profiling.

Unwind works entirely on your machine. Your window positions, keystrokes, and mouse movements are not recorded, transmitted, or shared with any server.

Telemetry

Unwind sends anonymous telemetry, logging, and performance metrics to https://telemetry.unwind.effective-flow.com/. We use this data to improve stability and performance.

Retention: Our telemetry systems keep this information for 14 days. Anything older than that is automatically purged on a rolling basis; we do not keep historical telemetry beyond that window.

Examples of what may be included: the app version, configuration flags, performance metrics (such as frame rates and memory usage), and non-identifying error logs or crash reports.

None of this telemetry, logging, or metrics data contains PII and it cannot be used to identify you personally. (We care that the software works well for you — not who you are.)

Updates

Unwind checks for new releases so it can keep itself up to date. These update checks communicate with our release feed and reveal only what is necessary to fetch the correct build (such as the installed version and platform). No personal information is transmitted.
